After being given the privilege to try out RaceCo cycles latest edition of e-bike, I was rather intrigued.
I had only been on an ebike, for a short demo once before and that was on a MTB. This was the new Specialized range of road bike, the Creo.
I had the the starter end model, of the Creo range,( at the time of writing) Turbo Creo SL.

The Creo looks so smooth that it wouldn’t look out of place on any group ride up and down the country. The Creo is a lightweight e bike and feels very balanced , so the handling feels very natural.
The Creo SL is the lightest e-bike in its class the top spec Creo, weighing in at just 12.2kg!!
The frame is constructed from FACT 11r carbon, which is lightweight and stiff.

With the bike being so lightweight and the motor so efficient the power pack doesn’t need to be that big with the Turbo Creo SL
The SL 1.1 motor doubles your effort with as much as 240 watts and with the 320Wh battery, it is good to give you a range of up to 80 miles! This can can up to 120 miles with the power pack.

What really impressed me, which is available on the Roubaix road bike model, is the 20mm travel, the Future Shock 2.0. It delivers a smoother, more comfortable ride, but it also reduces fatigue and increases speed over harsh terrain. Which was great for me a I’m suffering with Carpel Tunnel at the moment.

The gear ratio is the extra wide range 11-42t cassette gives you all the high and low end gears you need.

The Mission Control App, lets you tune the SL 1.1 motor to your riding style, record rides, and monitors the battery. The app shows battery management automatically too. The motor even has a built-in power meter that transmits to any ANT+ head unit.
I actually swapped bikes mid ride with a fellow club member and the difference, was really noticeable.

The bike just cruises up the hills, with so much ease, and takes away that pressure away from your joints, with an easy state pedal.
We were crying out to find more hills around the area, but Kinver had to do

On the flat the speed is restricted to 15.5mph , even when exceeded, the ride still feels pretty easy, with the bike being so light for its genre.
It’s definitely worth experiencing, what it has to offer. It can bring so many more people into the cycling community.
I’m just wanting to try the Gravel version now!!
